Interesting poll. Personally, I much prefer the historicals. To me, I always liked how the historical girls had their own unique personalities. I felt like I became friends with Kirsten, Samantha, and Molly when I read their books; so when I got my Samantha doll, and later my Molly doll, I felt like a long lost friend was coming home to me.

I'm going to have to go with Historicals too. I enjoy the romanticism of all the history, and I love the way they have such professional books and characters.
I think you can do the same with both of them. They are both equal in what you can do with them. I think if you don't like the name of a historical but like her looks you can name her anything you want and dress her in any outfit. That is what is so wonderful about these dolls, they can be who ever you want them to be.
